Not really into writing something everyone is writing but I just wanted to give my insight as a regular citizen seeing all the things going on around. A earthquake hit north central Jpana ranking at 9.0 in Megnitude, lives and property were lost, as of today 17th of March the people in Japan and region not only face recovering from the earthquake and tsunami but rather a danger created by ourselves nuclear engery powerplant. But before going on I want to focus on soemthing many people do not realize locally if not a hind sight.
On the late afternoon, early evening of the 11th of March 2011 when the earthquake and followed by a tsunami in Japan hit, on Guam we were alerted in a real world condition of a possible tsunami alerts of low level areas to evacuate, take cautions to move to higher ground, Executive order to close beaches and evac areas possible of tsunami hits

No major panic right off, more less younger folks and others making a joke watching from hill side of a possibility of seeing the shore pull back too see the tsunami hit (everyone is to do there thing, if they get hurt or otherwise in process they should not complain). Myself I was still at work, being that it is a natural disaster I did what my boss hired me to do my job, with my boss permission unable to reach higher autority than my direct supervisor immidate backup of our system secure then close down since it was close of business day anyways, just had to do backup early and secure to ensure data is safe. One problem started happening telecommunication was going down, voice calls was almost no way to happen, text and data was good

I was able to get a voice call from my mom and she was safe so it was good, I contacted people important which was good, calls to Hawaii was a no go, I tried getting ahold of my bro family but no go since I saw on CNN mobile and facebook posts from hawaii that tsunami alert in Hawaii also Facebook as much it is a social network it was it is a fast traveling information source, maybe not fully accurate but it was getting info out.
Before Marine Corps drive was closed I was able to get home on the way I saw public servants, police and firemen doing what they were trained to do in this case of natural disaster and prevent panic and evac the general public. This is whats gets me I saw some of those men and women and I know they have family and inside they are wanting to ensure they are safe as well, but they are doing what some people do not see, the safety of others so we can live in peace. I am not saying I know everything, but being like any other person, but in my opinion, I think those who make it safe while putting themselves in danger at the cost of themselves and their own family are always Heroes. For that a thank you to all who make it happen everyday in uniform, as the front line on the 11th of march 2011 on island was a real world scenario that can not always prepare people. In all with the quick reaction of the police firemen and patient of majority of the public we were still safe, compared to those in Japan with got hit with the major effect of the earthquake and tsunami and those of the Hawaii and west coast from the tsunami
Even today Sendai in Japan faces the need to survive

How we are different, by color, by landmass, by language, by rich or poor, but it is good we as human beings can still come together to help one another putting aside our differences and help each other survive. Jinxing I don’t not want to do but having grown up once during my child hood being on this island and hit with back to back of 3 typhoons i believe times have gotten better that more people/nations are opening their eyes and hearts. Globally there will always be a natural disaster of some sort some we can have better warnings some we wont but as long as the “world can come as one” helping each other there will always be something to look forward too. Let us all pray for those who have passed but better yet give those who live help so they can live on. As we all say karma is a full circle
