This post  titled for the run will be multiple part posting hehehe

So this year for my birthday I decided to spend time with Raytch in Pinas but also checking for races in manila found a race on the 3rd of July 2011 3, 5, 10 and 21k Yamaha Run for Heroes   Yamaha run 3rd July 2011  I always wanted to do a 21k in pinas but  timing was never right, with that being set, as soon as I found out about the run, first person i called was my coach from HS Coach Lad, though we are colleagues and friends now, I still ask for his help and guidance on my runs and certain race decisions (call it asking a friend for advise).  So after a few chit chat I told him about the run and he gave me good advise as always.  Took me about 2 days to decide,as I wanted to check with Raytch as well, hopeful she can be  at the run as well for moral support but not sure  but she said the run will be cool for me

So I check the site look for any prerequisites and went for the online registration, I thought it was  cool of how runrio set up their site.  Really easy to use and linked to  various other items to make processing  simple.  So registration done and payment submitted, I used my long living(5 years) globe number(prepaid of course kept alive by courtesy of Gabirel tech and chikka) and used my Guam mailing.  No problems with using my CC payment went through smoothly(compared to Cebu pacific who have problems accepting foreign CC online booking LoL).  I get a text the next to confirm my address, so I call them and tell them uhmm I am  not in Pinas till the end of the month, how can I get my race materials, the guy I spoke  told me i can  pick it up at the claim station on race day(i still want to email them and get a confirmation though hahaha) and told me to bring my confirmation receipt  I received in email.

So training so far going good, body feels good, I feel great to be able to run a 21k in Pinas finally hahaha.

Well more to come as the days get closer

Here is the course fro the 21k

yamaha_run_route_21k

Well its 10 of July 2010, the run was on the 3rd as scheduled and I finished

Well the 29th and 30th of July I ran 5  and 6miles  within Ayala triangle AM (6am-8am)running there is fun at least for me various different people either running or going to work, I just wanted to keep my body going, since I ran in pinas before the air doesn’t bother me as much, slight climate adjustments of course always helps :-)

Friday night the 1st of July 2011, I did my carbo load and chilled with the girlfriend, Saturday being said I wanted to take it easy, but oh well  majority of Am hours busy busy as usual.  Though all day Saturday hydration was a key thing, GF didn’t understand why i was drinking so much and going to CR so often hahahah. Called the 2nd of July the Saturday night before the run early as I was waking up about 330 to get ready.

I asked Kuya Edwin to drive me to the run,( I usually ask him so he doesn’t get bothered anymore, 300php per hr as a driver for  these events oh well times are tough its ok lol)   I prepared my bag and everything the night before,  so  wake up and morning ritual, show time 400 go time 510, so figured get there around 430 will be good

I usually stay in Makati so a quick drive in the am hours to fort.  we got there sooner than expected around 410 parking was a slight  problem as other people parking as well but got parked and i went to get my race packet, awesome setup from what I saw, went to the registration/claim area got my package.   I already  got my race outfit so I save my singlet got my D-tag/race chip

I got my self ready, stretches etc,   I chose my I love Guam running cap blue  adaias top and black running shorts, race dtag/chip and race number in front 0472  on my right shoe, also since I didn’t have a hydration belt I brought a Gatorade sports bottle with twist cap to the run(lol  powerade was the one of sponsor of the run  LoL)

So i got a pic at the start , Kuya Edwin had to go drop a client to airport, which was cool, near 5am I got into the race area, note the race number was different per run

It always fun to run outside of your own country, they prepared the run  with opening with PI national anthem, a small warm up and  reminder to everyone of race course.  Water stops was every 1.5km  but I figured what would count the most would be once more sun comes up being the last 6km.  I don’t have any pics of the start other than the one above,  everyone else had camera etc, I  hardly carry bulky items on a run if i can just a old habit, maybe as I get older  and slower I’ll start carrying these things hahahaha.  Well time got closer the interactive race course on the LED screen was awesome, I knew majority of the roads, excpet the fact we were going in a slgiht circle in  the fort that confused me but marmaing race official and sign helped  :-) .

I do say  like any race,  runners of all kinds are always in the front as the  race time was arriving(good thing no kids below 10 was running the event unlike 5k and 3ks  LoL), I said a small prayer and then race time came,  the gun went off the front moved but the mid section we all had to walk a good 25meters before any good running could start which of course is normal.

I started moderate and started  to a area which I felt comfortable, over all the water stops and course I  thought it was fun, of course everyone is open to their opinion.  I paced behind certain people, the km markers was awesome.   Of course of all the things, that got me was when I  started heading to the Buendia flyover as it was my first time to run on the flyover than to run on it hehehehe.  It was awesome running into makati towards Buendia into Gil Puyat as I am usually walking or in transportation when im on these roads hahaha.   It was funny as I crossed makati ave, as traffic was closed as this is my 3rd large race in Pinas for great support by police and race officials.  The turn around  was great, thought first time for me to have food at the water stop, there was bananas which i thought was a interesting idea hahaha

I dropped by empty gatored bottle off at the water stop  right before going back up the buendia flover heading to the fort, I felt good the rest of the run was uneventful  other than I have ushed myself a little bit more, the last 50meter sprint was to powerful meaning I had too much energy still to use CRAP. oh well

The two photos I copied from Greentennial Photos

After the finish they gave us a little note  bottle water and kit kat bars (interesting)

I walked around a little bit since i couldnt  find Kuya, pretty large setup from what i can say

bigger than life hahahah

So all in all i had a great time, got goodies and stuff

After the run met up with raychelle and eric and company at market market

Had a awesome brekfast

got my result s online on the 7th

I m happy that i am top 7-10% of 1779 finishers

I am happy about the run, from some feedback i have been reading some runner disappointed or whatever, I felt it was a good run and great supporting factors from the sponsor and local groups.  Though one disappointment would be not enough media coverage though there was two events going, i think there could have been better local media coverage for this  awesome event(totally opinion and not something that should be concrete LoL)

Path of Life with patience

http://wp.me/pg8uM-21

From the time we start  school, we are reminded of deadlines and the importance of  doing chores and  various things within a given time.   Then on we are  living a given life to pursue for we are guided to live into or a life we pick with support.

I  had gotten a call today from a couple I have known for about 11 years now,  kept in touch with them as they have taken the path of life that of high school into college.   We all have different views of how  to live life from what point, for example  study  then once you start making your thousands then enjoy life, like I said example.   The couple I mention  told me  some great news of  how blessed they are  of living a great life together, though bumps on the road but have come through it.  They told me about the great jobs they got and how things are working out for both of them.  I once mentioned to them once back in their early college days that the road is rough now but  it will smooth out as you keep staying the path of choice.   A great couple they are,  I am really happy to hear their progress I pray for their success and hope they will remember of where they had started, what they lived through and now what they have accomplished.   True not many end up with all their dreams but no one can judge us other than ourselves and god himself, happiness is the  feeling we have within our hearts

Another example a great friend of mine just started  a family the joy  I see in their picture with their new-born is an awesome sight to see.  Then hearing of the couple of their success   through enduring the many things of their earlier lives coming out  makes me so happy to know these  awesome people.  I am happy for my friends as they are always in my prayers :-)   take care god bless

I  always enjoy a good run but when your with a team encouraging one another to do the best for each other to run more even though being tired or the heat it is an accomplishment.

We started our morning 230 to meet at Townhouse (aka agana shopping center LoL) I woke up around 130 to prep water extra socks wash water etc.  I had enough time to stop by the  gas station on the way to agana to fill up.  Amazingly I was mentally ready for this event compared to the past two years hahahaha.

I am really happy for all the runners in our team and the others,  the event is a race but also at the same time  a challenge to accomplish as a team.  The meaning to start as a team and finish as a team has a certain goal within everyone.  Yes it is my opinion but if you look at it many things in our daily lives we can accomplish certain things as  one but when a group of people are brought in  given a plan broken up  to accomplish their parts and those parts  brought in is liking making  a plane making a whole picture :-)

Well till the next run  on Guam  or  Philippines  :-)

Natural Disaster March 2011

Not really into writing something everyone is writing but I just wanted to give my insight  as a regular citizen seeing all the things going on around.  A earthquake hit  north central Jpana ranking at 9.0 in Megnitude, lives and property were lost, as of today 17th of March the people in Japan and region not only face  recovering from the earthquake and tsunami but rather  a danger created by ourselves nuclear engery  powerplant.  But before going on I want to focus on soemthing many people do not realize locally if not a hind sight.

On the  late afternoon, early evening of the 11th of March 2011 when the earthquake and followed by a tsunami in Japan hit, on Guam we were alerted in a real world condition of a possible tsunami  alerts of low level areas to evacuate, take cautions to move to higher ground, Executive  order to close beaches and evac areas possible of tsunami hits

[03-11-2011 17:15] mobile@guampdn.com: Su:BREAKING NEWS M sg:Guam tsunami watch upgraded to tsunami warning by Pacific Tsunami Warning Center. Go to www.GuamPDN.com.
[03-11-2011 17:35] mobile@guampdn.com: Su:BREAKING NEWS M sg:Governor closes all public beaches because of tsunami warning. Go to www.GuamPDN.com for more info.

No major panic right off, more less younger folks and others making a joke watching from hill side of a  possibility of seeing the shore pull back  too see the tsunami hit (everyone is to do there thing, if they get hurt or otherwise in process they should not complain).   Myself I was still at work, being that  it is a natural disaster I did what my  boss hired me to do  my job,  with my boss permission unable to reach  higher autority  than my direct supervisor immidate backup of our system secure then close down  since it was close of business day anyways, just  had to do backup early and secure to ensure data is safe.  One problem started happening telecommunication was going down, voice calls was almost  no way to happen, text and data was good

[03-11-2011 18:59] mobile@guampdn.com: Su:UPDATE Msg:Prob lems, outages reported on MCV, GTA networks, according to Civil Defense.

[03-11-2011 20:14] mobile@guampdn.com: Su:CORRECTION Msg: GTA says NO outage on their system, but inundated with calls.

I  was able to get a voice call from my mom and she was safe so it was good, I contacted people important which was good, calls to Hawaii was a no go, I tried getting ahold of my  bro family but no go since I  saw on CNN mobile and facebook posts from hawaii that tsunami alert in Hawaii also Facebook  as much it is a social network it was it is a fast traveling information source, maybe not  fully accurate but it was getting info out.

Before Marine Corps drive was closed  I was able to get home on the way I saw  public servants, police and firemen  doing what they were trained to do  in this case of natural disaster and prevent panic and evac the general public.  This is whats gets me I saw some of those men and women and I know they have family and inside they are wanting to ensure they are safe as well, but they are doing what some people  do not see, the safety of others so we can live in peace.  I am not saying   I know everything, but being like any other person,  but in my opinion, I think those who make it safe while putting themselves in danger at the cost of themselves and their own family are always Heroes.  For that a thank you  to all who make it happen everyday in uniform, as the front line on the 11th of march 2011 on island  was a real world scenario that  can not always prepare people.    In all  with the quick reaction of the police firemen and patient of majority of the public we were still safe, compared to those in Japan with  got hit with the major effect of the earthquake and tsunami and those of the Hawaii and west coast from the tsunami

Even today Sendai in Japan faces the need to survive

How  we are different, by color, by landmass, by language, by rich or poor,  but it is good we as human beings can still come together to help one another putting aside our differences and help each other survive.  Jinxing I don’t not want to do but having grown up  once during my child hood being on this  island  and hit with back to back of 3 typhoons i believe times have gotten better that more people/nations are opening their eyes and hearts.   Globally there will always be a natural disaster of some sort some we can have better warnings  some we  wont but as long as the “world can come as  one” helping each other there will always be something to look forward too.  Let us all pray for those who have passed but better yet give those who  live  help so they can live on.   As we all say karma is a full circle

10K Fort Run for Change 19 Dec 2010

So anyways I haven’t written in awhile , well I think my last race for 2010 was awesome, like many things I do when i travel running  is running in the country I travel to.   So like in October I check  http://www.takbo.ph/ or the yahoo running group of  pinas(you have to search the yahoo group on your own sorry I don’t remember the link).

I have a physical schedule I arrive the pm of the 17th of Dec physical on the 18th so the races listed was for the 19th fit in just perfect.   There was to be two runs that morning one in Ortigas and the other  sa Fort.  Both places was going to be close to me since I stay on Kalaayan Ave in makati, so I didn’t mind.  Both runs was going to have a 5k or 10k. But basically I rather do a 10k or 1/2 marathon just for the fun of it.  So next thing look at what the benefits of the run, run for change at the fort was for a better  charity group so there you go fort shall be it.

I email the folks, i get a response and after a few email back and forth I get a confirmation i can do a race day registration which works out for me :-) .  So fast forward I arrive in Manila, physical the next day, sleep early the night before with a good meal and hydration.

Am of the 19th I ask Kuya Edwin to drive ko sa Fort,  Pretty much Kuyas been good with my early am  adventure to this running events.  First time I ran a race  in Pinas I ran without a shirt, after a few years of rethinking and weight gain I run with a singlet now days lol.   So I get up early I prepared my things the night before so no problem there, morning stretches, shave, etc.  Go down meet up with Kuya and off we go to  the fort.   I forgot the  exact name of the place but its on upper The Venica Piazzao on upper  McKinley  Road near Enderun College at the fort.

So here i am ready for the run hahaha——>

We get there an almost 30min prior to run, I go register

registration and bag tents

I see that its going to be a good crowd so I register and get everything ready, I knew I was going to have fun.  I always enjoy running, crazy as some people describe, but you know what what the hell right.   So anyways time for the 10k to start right, Im ok, not  super warmed up  so i figure who am I going to pace with (not always recommended as some people will do everything to get you off their tail hahaha)  Race starts various people but I pretty much looked like the forgienr as  I wore my purple singlet and a I lvoe Guam running cap  compared to the other folks that wore the singlet that came with the run (I usually save my running shirts and stuff hahaha)  I feel comfortable start pushing it a little up and down, I ran part of this course before so not too bad.  I finally  get  in a group  that is running a comfortable pace, ran the rest of the race with this group, I felt comfortable pushing here and there but not too bad.  All along the course where race  folks, of which I gues snot too many people acknowledge the, so like I do on  Guam, as I past them I said thank you or smiled and said good morning,  they  were like oh  good morning sir hahaha.

me and the course

I  like the honesty system to ensure people run the whole course where you have to get the different  strings they give you but I hate wearing them I always tie them to my race number pins hehehe.  Like I mentioned before I ran part of this course  at a prior 10k, so  it wasnt a super surprise on the hills and turns, I knew when to surge or back off.  Water points were awesome as they had capri sweat as well, minus factor Im so use to having people hand me the water and not me trying to grab from the table oh well not a major biggy.  After the turn around the group I was pacing with came down to 3 of us.  Not too bad kept the pace with them, I knew I wasn’t running with amateurs either as they knew when to surge or back off as well. Coming back was smooth sail in a way, nothing major as I wanted to surge a bit more  but I figured why not finish with this group.  Came up the hill back on to Lawton Ave, breathing was ok, not much wind kind of brought the temperature up so we came up on the right turn into  The Venica Piazza and  pace picked up a little bit finished at a moderate rate.  I was happy with my run as it was the holidays

Post run

right after the run with Capri

< Me right after the run yes I caught my breath a few seconds before the picture heheheheheh

So I stayed for a little bit of the post run events a nd top finishers, I wasn’t too please at the results as I know I was right behind the individual but yet the timing says i was a good 30seconds behind oh well.

me and the Bald Runner

Met up with  a  runner I met a a few times before, although I just found out he is a retired Col.  what a small world huh.    My time was 50min and 38 sec placed 16th out of 195 Im happy either way

I felt good doing this run since it was my last run of the year but at the same time not racing against anyone I know is even more fun.  Like I said the run was great weather so so but nothing like enjoying a great run  in a great country.  What more Im on vacation and I enjoy this kind of event.  Im going to end this blog here. I might write a part II  for the rest of my trip in Dec if I forgot something,  I thank the great many people that put the event together, the volunteers, runners, my good friends for always being there and my new great friend Rachelle and family

2010, year of the tiger a new yr as well

Hello

Yes in the calendar year, it is the year of the tiger,  but at the same time  a new year,  a new beginning as many people would like to say.   Start anew if not makes things better, funny new as i smile about over the weekend a friend since HS got married, met with friends and made new ones as well, then again I get a surprise from my other friend they are getting married in two weeks, start new yea a new beginning a new horizon i am happy.  The one thing that gets me though is that  human nature, we start soemthing and not all times do we follow through.  Like anything we say exercise make a  good beginning for the new year.  I say 2 out of 5 people follow through ( i may be wrong and i hope I am) with ex cerise, live better and be a better person.

I admit I am human, I do have flaws like any person to the left and right of me, but one thing I have learned over the years is to follow through 3.5 out of 5 times, better odds yes.    The wedding I went I met new friends and oddly enough  made a drunkn fool of my self as well (well drunk yes, fool to a certain point).  Lately, I been exchanging mail with a new friend, glad we are all different as well learn  the differences and similarity as  human,  one thing like anything you cant just find who a person is, it takes time patience and the willingness to learn about one another.  In human society now days, everything is rush or  immediate.  The times of walking in the park, talking  on the phone or watching the sunset becomes an after effect for people getting to know each other now days.  An example would be men or women either gender goes for the intimate contact then the get to know, which some people would say is fine, I don t complain either but then again does intimacy answer who and what we are.

Another friend of mine recommended a book to read,  relating to the facts of don’t assume, be open minded, LISTEN (which I say I am pretty good at as I only can speak to topics I know about lol) but also listen means a two way communication,  be clear what you mean, and  dont take it personally as we are all different  in our matters of expression.

Im just writing my midday writing, i’ll continue in another posting…..

happy new year people of earth, people of guam thnak you all for a great 2009 see youall around   in this year of 2010

Holidays and end of another year

Hello world….hahahaha

100 milliseconds in a second 60 seconds in a min, 60min in an hour 24hours in a day, 7 days in a week, 4 weeks in a month 12months in a year (365 days in a year 366 leap)…….wow 2009 is Christmas has come by and 2010 is around the corner.   I can only imagine what we all go through vs what we say on a daily basis of gosh another day, hahahaha.

SO yea I wont talk about other people but rather what i have gone through with people if not experienced about.    Flying, driving, taxing.  jeepneying,  walking the various things i have gone through and also many of use have gone through as well.  But one thing I always enjoy while doing any of the above, just observing the surrounding, people building and  nature.   Meeting people the universal thing HELLO, you get a resposne then good you dont oh well.   Though oddly enough, as much I can say hello and do certain things out of a blue, saying hello or saying something in certain times is do difficult but then again  that’s part of life learning lessons.

Im spednig lunch with my mom on the31st of Dec since she has 2 work the next day, new years eve, well im thinking hilton this year, freinds like alex, gary adn bojo hostin the event, i think it will be fun.   All in all I guess soemthing I herad last night, dont be a squirrel, live it in a way not to be running around so much, rather enjoying the greatness of meting people and hanging out with freinds.

Yes there is a latter 1/2 of being with someone,   a freind of mine made a analogy of something whihc I found to be really interesting,  “one day you will find your  michlle or zel”  yes he is a good freind of mine, and yes well all have gone through soem sort of drama of life.  But you know what after 10yrs later we still the same just  seeing it in a different matter and saying it different.   I spoke to a friend in  Seattle and  Mass the other day and its alawys funny as they are going through the trails of everyday life but yet  still have the same personality.

Yes teh holidays have come and gone, yes the  year is gone, but we are to see another day.  I smile as I recived a mail in my facebook during lunch.  I wont mention names, but gosh I was laughing and nervous at the same time.  Guess its nice to jsut be able to say helo, how you doin and so things to say out of the blue.  Am i making any sense proably not but one thing that took me awhile to learn is to enjoy it and be happy with as much one can.

Maligayng pasko, merry christmas everyone

and see you in a few days in another calendar year………so happy new year

Christmas

Its the favorite time of the year, well for the most part.  Crowded parking lots, crowded shopping center maraming traffic  and so on.   But also its the end of another year, looking back at good things and bad, smiling and crying at things that happened through out the year.

I  look forward to the smiles, of the kids and various friends  the joy of    appreciating the time of the month the season of being joyful but also the understanding the  religious aspect of this month.  Every year,  I run late to midnight mass not necessarily  the actual time but  the timing to get into church,  St Barbra gets really full every midnight mass i keep telling myself to get there an hour early but i run late for some odd reason.

Is  December the only time to pray and be loving life nahh, its  12months 365 days a year (366 leap) 525 948.766 minutes 527,040 in a leap year 60minutes in a hour, 60 seconds in a min 1000 milliseconds in a sec.   Just  that guess the holiday season does bring alot out of people.  Meeting various people from all over the world, is a interesting feeling, some religions do not practice Christmas but one common thing we all look forward is  peace and harmony.

Over the weekend I realized a good fortune of meeting few people from the past and seeing them make something out of themselves is a great accomplishment knowing  how they started with certain issues.

yes this is go to be continued :-)

Friends and holidays Part II

So yes this is my second part to my blog, I wanted to write my time in manila separate from Cebu.  well like any time towards teh holidays manila becomes MARAMING headache for traffic for any kind of transportation.  I rode the MRT it was PACKED, jeep PACKED, taxi depedning on the time of DAy but the road PACKED hahaha.  But you know what I go there becuase i am a forginer, and its affordable for me.

Many times people here on Guam or various other places (not always of course I apologize to anyone I may offend) for single males like myself, make the assumption the Pinas to the adult industry, and that is not the case, there are palces jsut to drink coffee, movie houses, relaxing ways to enjoy the culutre and make new friends.   Pinas i general hosts various confrences, technology conferences  and nay other events that  deals with people from all ages and races.

Not that being said, yes like any other place, there is poverty, there is crime, but for my part i enjoy the culture and the great  people of the Pinas.   Like any other country there are run away father of children and many many other things similiar to other places.

My first day in PI before leaving to cebu, i walked to the MRT station  near lunch time give you self  head start before your attempted time to meet.  Ortigas was fu met up witha freind for lunch at Megmall, I went back to Ayala after awhile, well the events are covered in my first part.

Well after getting back to Manila from Cebu, I wanted the yellow airport cab so I wont get cheated (hahaha) this one lady operator said  saan gusto mo po,  i of course replied makati, then she directs me to a cab, of course i dont go I ask magkano, her reply 600php I say bye, i got to a yellow cab, I ddnt know parts of the skyway was open, he took the route go to makati (kalayaan ave) in about 220php(of course I gave him tip for the fast driving and not cheating me on the route to makati, since i know the 3 route to the place i stay hahha)  got in, showered rested went to pancacke hse4 breakfast  since i was only staying the night i was making new friends meetingup with new ones and jsut enjoying going about

had to get  a few things for ms roise and michlle, ms roise  a paper lantern a purple and white and michelle plastic for her dance group, i actually was stressed but had fun as well meeting sales ladies hahaha

Shooping up near Quiapo  actually devsoira tutuban and 168 was  fun and acrowded people and traffic, found the items, took teh sale girl a few times up and down, i gave her a 50php tip she was happy stupid in a way, since i dont do the same things here, but at the same time we are spoiled in a way here but back to my trip.  I got the items and headeded back via jeep to the lrt damn the lanterns were paper lanters were heavy.

After finaly getting back to ayala with  friend who helped me go shopping, went  to CPK (even though we have one on guam) i enjoyed the dinner,  had a round of beer with her and went to sleep after that.  Over all I enjoyed my trip every bit.  Tokyo boy as well and various other places I ate at( i think I over ate again hahaha)

As I finished my trip, i enjoy meeting my friends on Guam and my great co workers, but on thing I hate is being alone and the drama, i know I am not alone with being with friends but there is the other side we all have and my thing being with someone this time of the year, but oh well I am happy with the great memories and fun i had on this trip……..

Friends and holidays

I recently traveled to Pinas and within Pinas I traveled to Cebu.  it was my first trip and it was a awesome trip.  Recently Ive been going through the trials of life, that we should learn from but unfortunately took me several  failures to recognize the failure i was facing, so this trip so of short but at the same time gave me a great view to look away from the failures

Well back to my trip, so i fly into manila Thursday evening, FLIGHT is late leaving Guam GRRRRRRRRR.   By the time i get into manila its near midnight, tired from waiting.  For some odd reason  hurry up and wait syndrome tires  a person out more hahahha I get to the condo, I think Krena was workign  she smiles and hands me the paper to sign in.  I go up and I was tired and hungry at the same time, I go out to jolibee for a snack and a small pub for 2 sml 60php hahaha GREAT.  I rest and go back.   The next morning I knw I dont have anything to do tilla fter 10 so I sleep in txt the boss and chill.  I decide I figure I’ll walk down to GB change USD to PHP before going to cebu so I wont have to worry (which turned out to be  a good move).

I walked to GB  via makatai ave stopped by Continental to give my Ninang her cookeis from Guam and kim her things from Jeffry.  Always nice to see her, talked her about the travel details to cebu and her friend in cebu who is going to take me around.

I went to Glorietta change funds then caught MRT  ayala to ortigas station (yes its lunch near lunch time so it was paKed)  met up with a freind  for lunch, she works at ADB.   we ordered a chicken steak with mushroom and garlic rice and I ordered a sandwhich, ordered too much actually,   but it was ok.

Headed back to ayala on MRT and yes it was PACKED, went to ayala for a evening  laser show.  It was awesome lights people smoke and laser outdoors even.  very Christmas spirited( and yes here in home there is a spirit of Christmas but slightly different sa pinas)   walked back  to Kalaayan ave had a small dinner and hanged out at another local bar for 2 sml and  went back packed my bags and fel alseep till 3am to go to the airport

Went to terminal 2 but there is a story behind this as well on PAL sites it states all PAL flights are through terminal 3 then on my flight its says terminal 2 (confusing very)  so finally i emailed them and response  to call the info number (hmm why have a info email if they cant answer the question IDK)   check was simple and easy, 200php for aiport fee no problem, waiting AREA sucked yes its a PAL terminal metal chairs, thanks goodness though they did  every other section table without let for laptop and mobile charging station.   i had 1hr before the flight, watched a movie(iso) and relaxed.    Flight to cebu quiet and smooth   i SLEPT THROUGH THE WHOLE 1 HOUR to cebu.   And yea marmaing  maganda ladies on the flight.  Landing in cebu was nice and quiet,  took me a little bit to figure which taxi to take metered or flat fare, i chose metered it was nice.   and about the same as the flat fare  if not a little less hahaha.

I was surprised at the amount of traffic  some good and some not good, hahahha.  I checked in nice looking receptionist (I didnt get a chance to take picture with them though GRRRR) holidayplaza had a promo 1800php w/brekfast no complaint there.    It was a simple brekfast  western mixed with  pinoy, and a egg station, (the cook didnt know how to smile had him make me  a scramble  both days and I gave him tip, he was like super  service after giving him tip).  Nothing like arizoldoc and scarmbled eggs in the AM huh hahahaha.  Text Ms Marie and she would arriving near 11 hich wasnt a problem, her freind Mia called and started talking in broken japanese i tought was funny since I couldnt understand what she was saying other than it was japanese hahaha, it was that there were almost at the hotel to pick me up.

Its always nice to make new friends diba.   so first places I went to St nino church and Magellans Cross, went  to check out various other places Top side, taoist temple and drove all over the palce, lunch at ayala , hanged out at IT town  it was so cool for callcenter cebu resturant for seafood dinner with marie mia and lanie then.  We went to mango for aset, they ladies out drnak me and I was falling asleep sooner  oh well after that  done for the first night

The 2nd day I went to 7am mass at St nino and yes it was in Tagalog( visayan i think but I didn t mind)Mass was PACKED, and blessing of St nino was simple  I found it interesting how the Lolas were walkng around with candles of faith and hope  So after mass i went back to the lady I bought the St Nino from for box and a few other things, walked around for various other pasalubong,I found it funny, as I would use my taglish and the vendor  looks at me funny  if to speak i tagalog or English hahaha oh well. I picked up roses for my freinds two at the front desks two for mia and marie

Marie and Mia picked me up around 12noon we went to eat lunch at sukilot on Mactan.  Drove around hilton cebu  shanrgi la cebu and platation bay.  I was really ahppy to be able to relax with out a deadline and all.  At shanrgi la I said lets chill for a glass of wine.  We got back into town went to dinner at sm city, got a few things at sm with ms mia and marie.

I didnt sleep that night i was still happy with my trip overall and with the fact I didnt go to davao either (the massacre on the 23rd god rest their soul) well I packed got ready around 3am went down stairs paid my bill.   no problem there, the problem the taxi, first taxi wanted flat rate 300php GRR second one ithink 200php flate rate oh well, they said walang customer on the way back, i didnt want to be dropped someplace i ddin t knw so I took the 2nd choice, airport was si ple exit tax of 200php, at the it felt happy even with the drama  i had leaving Guam, I felt ahppy i came to a place new to me on  my own without problems.  happy happy joy joy
